It combines lightweight, non intimidating drones with ground based and aerial scanning beacons to create a coordinated, region wide early warning network. Tempest monitors ignition points, tracks thermal signatures, evaluates environmental conditions, and produces real time projections of fire direction, growth, and intensity.
The system can be coordinated from control towers or field posts placed strategically across a region. These command points receive live data from both airborne drones and ground embedded Tempest beacons, forming a unified situational awareness grid. Tempest is engineered to forecast how large a fire is likely to become, where it will spread, and the level of manpower or drone resources needed to contain it. Tempest also incorporates early stage environmental modulation technologies designed to support wildfire suppression efforts, in order to give emergency workers the support they require.
The goal of Tempest is to provide Canada with a fully Canadian controlled drone wildfire prevention fleet and response system. By building our own potential detection towers, alongside our scanning beacons, drone coordination network, & Wildfire supression Drones, Tempest ensures that environmental safety does not rely on foreign systems or external dependencies.
Tempest design is to protect Canadian sovereignty by safeguarding and protecting forests, communities, and critical infrastructure with homegrown technology capable of rapidly detecting, predicting, and countering wildfire threats across provincial and federal jurisdictions.
While Tempest’s drones are still in development, the analytical and environmental modelling modules have already been tested using real wildfire data. These tools were used to refine hotspot detection, expand thermal sweep radius, and improve early warning parameters that support timely reporting to Canadian agencies and emergency services.
